Steven Steen established this service to bridge the gap between public educators and parents of special needs children. The goal of Students 1st is to intervene on the parents' behalf, to help them obtain the required accommodations and modifications for their students.

Most parents do not know that physical disabilities, emotional disorders and learning disabilities, including ADD/ADHD, can be covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Nor do they know that the public schools are required by law to make proper modifications for a student with special needs. This process can be confusing, discouraging and frustrating. Students 1st is a service that provides knowledgeable, experienced advocates to help your students receive the support they deserve.
